Steps to follow

Step 1

Choose the ideal location: on the ceiling, in the center of the room, preferably in the hallway serving bedrooms.

Step 2

Avoid the kitchen and bathroom where vapors can trigger false alarms.

Step 3

Fix the base securely to the ceiling using suitable screws and plugs.

Step 4

Insert batteries and clip the detector onto its base.

Step 5

Test the device immediately by pressing the 'Test' button until you hear the alarm.

Step 6

Dust the device once a month with a cloth or vacuum to avoid sensor clogging.
